Client: Cupar Heritage Trust, September 2020

CMC has been working with Cupar Heritage and Cupar Development Trust to produce a series of new orientation and interpretation panels for the historic centre of Cupar. These are linked by QR-Codes to a website designed and hosted by CMC, which provides appropriate landing pages before linking with relevant local information.

Funding for the initiative came via Fife Council who also supported the installation. The project has been a real community effort with Cupar Heritage developing the content. They used our data asset management system CMC Flow to continue to build a significant local digital library. Cupar Development Trust held the purse strings and worked with CMC to gain the necessary planning permissions for installation of the panels around the town.

As part of the design a new interpretive map of Cupar was produced by CMC with significant input from the local community. This digital vector map is now available for the local projects to adopt and adapt for other activities. A new heritage walking tour app is already planned.
