Decorated stone knife, Skara Brae

Stone knife. Sub-oval with ground surfaces. The cutting edge has been sharpened and that butt flattened. The upper face has a lightly incised geometric pattern of triangles infilled with lozenges.

Breadth 76mm

This decorated stone knife was found just outside House 10 at floor level during the 1930 excavations.
